What is the Ofuro?

The Ofuro is an authentic traditional Japanese bath designed to provide a relaxing and wellness experience inspired by one of Japan’s most cherished traditions.

Separate bathing areas are available for men and women, where guests and residents can enjoy soaking in warm water while relaxing both body and mind in a peaceful and respectful atmosphere.

Is the Ofuro private, or is it shared with other guests?

The Ofuro is a shared bathing facility with separate areas for men and women.

Guests and residents may enjoy this experience together with other visitors. We kindly ask everyone to maintain a peaceful, respectful, and considerate atmosphere, following traditional Japanese bathing etiquette.

Is it necessary to enter the Ofuro without clothing?

Yes. As part of Japanese bathing tradition, guests enter the Ofuro without clothing or swimwear.

To preserve the cleanliness, comfort, and authenticity of this experience, no clothing is permitted in the bathing area. Face towels should also remain outside the water and only be used for drying.

Can I take photos or videos inside the Ofuro?

No. To protect the privacy and comfort of all visitors, the use of mobile phones, cameras, or any recording devices is not permitted inside the Ofuro area.

Should I shower before entering the Ofuro?

Yes. Before entering the hot water baths, guests are required to use the available showers to clean their bodies.

This step is an important part of Japanese bathing culture and helps maintain a clean, comfortable, and pleasant environment for everyone.

What is the water temperature of the Ofuro?

The water temperature is maintained between 41.4 °C and 42.5 °C (106.5 °F and 108.5 °F) in both the indoor and outdoor bathing areas.

What are the Ofuro opening hours?

The Ofuro is available every day of the week. Opening hours vary depending on the day:

    • 3:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

WOMEN

  • Monday to Friday

Do I need to remove my shoes before entering the Ofuro?

Yes. Please remove your shoes when entering the Ofuro area and place them in the available spaces on the shelves near the entrance.

This follows Japanese customs for maintaining cleanliness and creating a comfortable environment for everyone.

Do I need to bring any personal items when visiting the Ofuro?

No. We recommend bringing only your room key when visiting the Ofuro.

Everything you need for a comfortable experience is available in the changing rooms, including personal care items and amenities in the shower area.

Does the staff’s footwear inside the Ofuro affect hygiene?

No. Authorized staff members use special white footwear exclusively designated for cleaning and maintenance tasks inside the Ofuro area.

This footwear is not used in other areas of the hotel and helps us maintain proper hygiene standards.

If you notice any situation that requires attention, please inform our reception team so we can assist you promptly.

Is there a place where I can store my personal belongings inside the Ofuro?

Yes. Complimentary safety lockers with personal PIN codes are available inside the changing rooms.

You may use them to safely store your valuables and enjoy your Ofuro experience with peace of mind.

Yes. Children and babies may enter the Ofuro as long as they are accompanied by a parent, responsible family member, or guardian at all times.

POCARI SWEAT is a popular citrus-flavored hydration drink in Japan and other Asian countries.

To complement your relaxing Ofuro experience, this drink is available free of charge to help you stay hydrated during your visit.

How long is it recommended to stay in the Ofuro?

If it is your first time visiting the Ofuro, or if you are not accustomed to high temperatures, we recommend staying approximately 15 to 20 minutes per session.

You may take breaks to hydrate and return to the bath according to your comfort and personal condition.

We encourage you to enjoy the experience at your own pace.

Is there a restroom available inside the Ofuro area?

Yes. An individual restroom is available inside the changing room area.

This allows you to continue enjoying your Ofuro experience without leaving the facility.

Can I bring drinks into the Ofuro?

No. For hygiene reasons and to maintain a peaceful atmosphere, drinks and food are not allowed inside the bathing area.

Non-alcoholic hydration drinks may only be consumed in the changing room area.

Can I bring food into the Ofuro?

No. To maintain a clean and comfortable environment for all visitors, food is not permitted inside the Ofuro area.
