For most, this time of year can mean the end of cold weather and the beginning of warm days. But in Japan, the arrival of spring has greater significance and is accompanied by deep cultural symbolism.

Since the fiscal year in Japan begins on April 1 and ends on March 31, the fourth month of the year is also the time of the new entrance ceremonies for students from elementary school to high school. In addition, it is also the time when new generations of young people enter the work environment for the first time.
But there is a natural event that tinges the landscapes all over Japan with a particular pink color, and that is the blooming of the sakura cherry trees that decorate rivers and roads with their petals. That give rise to a traditional activity known as "Hanami" 花見 whose translation would be "see the flowers"; where people go to visit the gardens and squares to spend time with family, co-workers or friends.
Sakura cherry trees not only indicate the beginning of a new cycle and the arrival of spring, but also symbolize rebirth. Represented by the short life of its flowers that remind us how fleeting life can be, but at the same time its simplicity, innocence and beauty.

But surely in Mexico you will not be able to find sakura cherry trees, fortunately Japanese gardeners managed to bring to Mexico a tree originally from Brazil which is called "Jacaranda", which also likes to bloom like the sakura tree at this time, covering the main gardens of the city and avenues of Queretaro. Allowing us to contemplate in the same way the beauty of nature as it is done in Japan.
An activity that we recommend when you visit Queretaro at this time and remember that in FUJITAYA you can experience the cultures and traditions.
